Feedback & complaints

Feedback and complaints

Your feedback — positive or negative — helps me improve. Raising a concern will never affect the service you receive.

Talk to me first

If something isn’t right, please let me know. You can raise it in a session, by email or by phone.

  1. Tell me what happened and what you would like to happen. You can have a support person or advocate help you.
  2. I will acknowledge your feedback, treat it confidentially, and look into it.
  3. I will tell you what I found and what I will do, and keep a record of the complaint and outcome.
  4. If you’re not satisfied, or would prefer not to raise it with me directly, you can contact one of the independent organisations listed here.

If you need an interpreter, you can use the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National) on 131 450.

What about Ahpra?

Speech pathology is not one of the professions registered through Ahpra (the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency), so Ahpra does not handle complaints about speech pathologists. In Queensland, contact the Office of the Health Ombudsman instead — it is the single entry point for health service complaints and works with Ahpra where a registered practitioner is involved.
